It was something to do with my web host.<\/p>\n<p>Apologies to anyone who was met with the dreaded \u201cPage cannot be displayed\u201d message. I was getting it myself when I tried to access the blog via my smartphone &#8211; and then when I got home discovered that it wasn\u2019t the smartphone that was to blame!<\/p>\n<p>I have recently switched packages, but everything was working this morning so I don\u2019t think it was that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit 9\/4\/2013:<\/strong> 1&amp;1 have confirmed they have a problem. Please ignore any pop ups warning of \u201creferer errors\u201d. This is a part of the problem, and sorry for further downtime today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit 12\/4\/2013: <\/strong>1&amp;1 have revealed that the downtime is due to <a title=\"Reduced availability of customer websites on the 1&amp;1 network\" href=\"http:\/\/status.1and1.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ongoing attacks<\/a> by hackers, targeting\u00a0WordPress\u00a0and Joomla platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Again, apologies for any outages.
