The following vehicles are affected:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mazda 6 <\/li>\n<li>Honda Jazz <\/li>\n<li>Honda CR-V <\/li>\n<li>Honda Stream <\/li>\n<li>Honda Civic Coupe <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Corolla <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Picnic <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Yaris <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Camry <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Avensis <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Avensis Verso <\/li>\n<li>Toyota Lexus SC430 <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Almera <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Almera Tino <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Terrano <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Navara <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Patrol <\/li>\n<li>Nissan X-Trail <\/li>\n<li>Nissan Pathfinder (imported) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All vehicles registered between 2000 and 2004 with registrations W, X, Y, 01, 51, 02, 52, 03, 53, and 04 are potentially affected.<\/p>\n<p>It was <a title=\"Big Airbag Recall Affects Toyota, Honda, Nissan and GM, But Effects Probably Won't Last Long\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jimhenry\/2013\/04\/12\/big-airbag-recall-affects-toyota-honda-nissan-and-gm-but-effects-probably-wont-last-long\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">only announced a few days ago<\/a> that this recall was taking place, and any responsibility for the problems which arise from it are down to whoever supplied the faulty airbags which are at the bottom of the whole issue. The DSA is <strong>not<\/strong> to blame, and it has responded quickly &#8211; and quite correctly &#8211; to the situation. If a fault is deemed serious enough to warrant a recall, and if it involves airbags or brakes, the DSA would be on dangerous ground if it allowed tests to go ahead, irrespective of how many have unknowingly gone ahead since 2000\/2004.<\/p>\n<p>I notice on certain forums that the usual people have already got their daggers buried up to the hilt in the DSA\u2019s ribs over this. Judging by what they\u2019re saying, these ADIs just don\u2019t have a clue about recalls and the legal situation with regards the DSA conducting tests in vehicles with proven faults. They <strong>think<\/strong> they do, of course.
