The second time they\u2019ve mentioned Rush in the last 30-odd years (can you <a title=\"Rush O2 Gig Review in The Sun\" href=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?p=6054\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">remember the Time Machine Tour, here?<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Rush Review in The Sun - O2 Gig\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/544;float: left; margin: 5px 10px 5px 0px; display: inline\" alt=\"Rush Review in The Sun - O2 Gig\" align=\"left\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/rush_ca_review_sun.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"544\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\"><\/p>\n<p>The review of the O2 gig says:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIT has long been a source of wonder how Rush produce such a huge sound with only three blokes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBolster the headcount to nine and it&#8217;s overwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir new mini-orchestra is essential for the epic arrangements of 2012&#8217;s magnificent Clockwork Angels album, but the wondrous marriage makes you wonder why they weren&#8217;t recruited in 1976.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Canadian legends&#8217; three-hour O2 show was their most spectacular in 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn a beautiful steampunk-themed stage set, they played their best Eighties synth-rock, much of Clockwork Angels and Obligatory classics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite dodgy sound, a world-class performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I have to say that I didn\u2019t find the sound at the O2 that bad &#8211; though The Sun isn\u2019t the first to criticise it. I think it depended where you were standing.<\/p>\n<p>Having noted that, The Sun\u2019s reviewer goes on to score the gig as 4 out of 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sun is making a habit of this!
