We\u2019ll have to see.<\/p>\n<p>Rosemary Thew, the current DSA Chief Executive, is leaving at the end of the month. No mention is made of why.<\/p>\n<p>The merger appears to have come about as a result of the consultation on motoring services strategies which ran for 3 months from December 2012.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit: <\/strong><a title=\"DSA and VOSA to merge\" href=\"http:\/\/content.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/UKDSA\/bulletins\/800b5f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This DSA Alert just came through with the announcement<\/a>. The alert says that Rosemary Thew is \u201cstepping down and leaving the Civil Service\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no mention of Alastair People\u2019s (the new joint Chief Executive) comment about possible lower costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This came through on the newsfeeds.
