The big question has to be: who are the real clowns?<\/p>\n<p>This <a title=\"Bristol car-free Sunday closes roads\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-bristol-22982940\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC story reveals that Bristol has introduced a \u201ccar-free Sunday\u201d scheme<\/a>, where certain city centre roads are closed to traffic. And in Bordeaux &#8211; an ancient city which is somewhat closer to the equator, and which has wall-to-wall sunshine most of the year. So it just has to work in Bristol, right?<\/p>\n<p>Instead of cars, Bristol\u2019s streets are being turned over to jugglers, a few more jugglers, acrobats who can juggle\u2026 oh, and then some more jugglers. Proving clearly that George Ferguson hasn\u2019t got a bloody clue. Believe me, juggling gets old very fast indeed. Once you\u2019ve seen one dreadlocked hippy juggling, you\u2019ve seen them all, and the idea that the average juggler is going to keep performing for free while you pretend Bristol is the same as Bordeaux is just silly. It isn\u2019t something you want in your way when you\u2019re trying to get to the bloody shops to buy some milk and bread.<\/p>\n<p>As you\u2019d expect, Bristol\u2019s motorists aren\u2019t particularly impressed.
