You have to remember that the claims of sexism are from the West \u2013 China doesn\u2019t see it that way.<\/p>\n<p>Police in Beijing have put out a series of advisories for female drivers via China\u2019s equivalent of Twitter.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Some women drivers lack a sense of direction and while driving a car they often hesitate and can\u2019t decide which road to take\u2026 Once they realize their mistake, they cause accidents by spinning the steering wheel in a panic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>[women drivers] are not able to find the way to their destination, even if they\u2019ve been there many times.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Women drivers tend to panic following an accident\u2026 They usually draw a complete mental blank, providing opportunities for criminals.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These are just three of the pieces of advice. As you might expect, China\u2019s female population isn\u2019t taking it lightly. One candidate for the Dippy Blond Awards has replied:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is discrimination! Many male drivers are idiots, too.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Obviously, Chinese feminists are less skilled when challenging alleged sexism than their Western counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, this advice comes hot on the heels (no pun intended) where a recent accident occurred after a woman\u2019s high heel got stuck.
