No mention of age or other circumstances, though the car is a typical \u201cold people\u201d wagon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another story came in on the newsfeeds at the same time. It tells how <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/1209218\/wrong-way-crashes-leave-11-people-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Wrong-Way Crashes Leave 11 People Dead\">in two separate \u201cwrong-way\u201d incidents in the USA<\/a>, <strong>eleven people died. <\/strong>I would hope that the fact that this stupid woman in Cambridge didn\u2019t kill anyone doesn\u2019t prevent her from being prosecuted to the fullest extent, and having her licence taken away permanently. People like her shouldn\u2019t be allowed out alone, let alone hold driving licences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Edit:<\/strong> Here we go. It\u2019s just as I said. Sky News reports that it was \u201can elderly woman\u201d. Worryingly, the police have said that they will not be pressing charges because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026it isn&#8217;t in the public interest due to health issues\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would have thought that makes it very much a public interest issue. Fair dues, though. The police have seized her car and are liaising with the DVLA to have her licence revoked.
