The court was told that he was \u201caway with the fairies\u201d on drink. He had no driving licence or insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Yet another pathetic mitigating plea was lodged:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Preston Crown Court heard the defendant could not recall much of what happened and was someone who had suffered agoraphobia, anxiety, depression and panic attacks. He was also said to have lost friends through drink driving incidents.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>All the more reason to lock him up and throw away the key.
