That\u2019s because you can install various plugins and themes that the free option doesn\u2019t allow.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Hacker Alert\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 524px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 524\/247;border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 5px 10px 5px 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Hacker Alert\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/hacker.jpg\" width=\"524\" align=\"left\" height=\"247\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\"><\/p>\n<p>Of course, freedom is always quickly followed by the scammers, spammers, and general scumbags, and <a title=\"Small WordPress sites leaking like sieves\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2015\/05\/11\/small_wordpress_sites_leaking_like_sieves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a recent scare reveals<\/a> that&nbsp; some smaller sites &#8211; probably run by people who don\u2019t update very often &#8211; are being targeted.<\/p>\n<p>As you are aware, I don\u2019t allow comments on this site. <strong>Any<\/strong> form of live comments system (and that includes most forums) just attracts arseholes who think they can get away with saying things to others that they would get a punch in the mouth for if they tried it face to face. But probably the most common use of any system is to post URLs linking to (often illegal) pornographic material or, increasingly, terrorism-related sites. I don\u2019t want any of that, so I\u2019ve disabled commenting completely.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, though, this is still not enough. Those scumbags I mentioned are like dog-shit &#8211; once you get some on you, you can\u2019t easily get it off again.<\/p>\n<p>I installed some new security software recently and made an odd discovery. Although my site is secure, one infected link was discovered. It seems that an article I wrote about an examiners strike contained a link to the PCS Union website, and this was possibly infected with malware (well, the destination was, according to Google). It\u2019s gone, now.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not quite sure what to make of that. My anti-union stance is well known, as is my derision of any strike by PCS staff &#8211; intended, as these are, to cause the maximum amount of inconvenience and suffering to as many innocent people as possible.
