The authors &#8211; System Goods &#8211; did not see fit to reply to my request to confirm whether or not this was a false positive, so I have to assume that they <strong>know<\/strong> it contains a virus. A decent company would fall out of its tree if someone reported such a\u00a0 thing to them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do not install it under any circumstances.<\/strong> I have removed the old version from my machine.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Aaaand another thing\u2026 Windows 10 installs updates and reboots without much warning. Unlike Windows 7 (which wasn\u2019t very good at this anyway) Windows 10 makes no attempt whatsoever to restore your desktop open apps to anything like what they were before the reboot.<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 524px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 524\/262;background-image: none; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 5px 10px 5px 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"TaskLayout - desktop layout saver\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/tasklayout.jpg\" alt=\"TaskLayout - desktop layout saver\" width=\"524\" height=\"262\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While I was <a title=\"TaskLayout - desktop layout saver\" href=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?p=17983\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">looking for a way of saving my icon layout<\/a> I came across a small application which saves your desktop layout so \u2013 at the click of a button \u2013 you can open all the programs you use regularly in one go.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s called <del>TaskLayout<\/del> and it doesn\u2019t have to be installed. It doesn\u2019t even have a presence you can show other than an icon in the system tray. You have to right-click that icon and choose either <strong>Save Layout<\/strong> or <strong>Open Layout.<\/strong> It\u2019s as simple as that.<\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t free, like ReIcon (the icon layout program), but it is very effective.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">NOTE THE ABOVE VIRUS WARNING &#8211; DO NOT INSTALL THIS PROGRAM.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WARNING: The program called Task Layout was recently updated (early 2016) and the\u00a0ZIP file contains a virus (Bitdefender alerted me).
