A <a title=\"Vauxhall Corsa fire recall &ndash; what you need to know\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whatcar.com\/news\/vauxhall-corsa-fire-recall--what-you-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recall is already in effect for certain Corsa models made between 2006-2014<\/a>, and this was the subject of a Watchdog report a couple of months ago. The <a title=\"Vauxhall Corsa fires: close to 1m cars could be affected\" href=\"http:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/vauxhall\/corsa\/97578\/vauxhall-corsa-fires-close-to-1m-cars-could-be-affected\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest report suggests all Corsa D and E models are implicated<\/a>. This latter problem is not yet official (to my knowledge) and no recall is in effect.<\/p>\n<p>The original problem affected a few thousand cars, whereas this new problem \u2013 if it is verified \u2013 implicates virtually all Corsas made since 2006. The problem is a similar one to <a title=\"Vauxhall Zafira fires: used cars being sold without recall work\" href=\"http:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/vauxhall\/zafira\/93176\/vauxhall-zafira-fires-used-cars-being-sold-without-recall-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">that which caused Zafiras to be recalled<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DVSA is currently investigating based on the reports, and has advised Vauxhall to ensure customer safety in the meantime. Quite how Vauxhall will do that is not yet known, although <a title=\"Vauxhall Corsa D \/ E customer advice\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vauxhall.co.uk\/corsacustomeradvice.html?ppc=GOOGLE_700000001308527_71700000017280836_58700001962190537_p15082710258&amp;gclid=CKP8ltOh59ACFQi-7QodxiUPeQ&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">if this FAQ is anything to go by, probably not a lot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Corsas are used by a lot of ADIs \u2013 particularly those at BSM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m getting a lot of hits on this subject, probably due to the Watchdog programme which aired this week.
