They\u2019re called Hugging Bear Mugs, and they come in pairs. You will note that \u2013 if you make the obvious connection based on visual appearance \u2013 they are both male.<\/p>\n<p>Assuming that it\u2019s true (a lot of fake news around now that fake news is <strong>in<\/strong> the news), you have to wonder any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>who would be stupid enough to buy one? <\/li>\n<li>who would be stupid enough to <strong>THINK<\/strong> someone would be stupid enough to buy one, and that they should become a stock item? <\/li>\n<li>who would be stupid enough to think you could sell enough of them to make it a profitable line? <\/li>\n<li>who would be stupid enough not to see the overt visual reference to male genitalia? <\/li>\n<li>who would be stupid enough not to realise any of the above at any stage of the buying process, and allow the product to end up as an SKU? <\/li>\n<li>Who would be stupid enough to recruit \u2013 and to continue to employ \u2013 people who made or failed to spot these crass decisions beforehand? <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apart from a few students \u2013 and admittedly, probably a few more than would have before, now that this has been in the media \u2013 you\u2019d need the mentality of a Brexit voter and no class whatsoever to buy one.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, I would suggest that having it on display \u2013 in full view of children \u2013 is a breach of the UK\u2019s obscenity laws.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s obvious what the mugs are supposed to be showing, and the covert message they are obviously trying to convey.
