There&#8217;s some sort of private school just off Cranmer Street, and every day there are school\u00a0buses parked right next to the chicane\u00a0 on yellow lines (the chicane has &#8220;Give Way To Oncoming Vehicles&#8221; signs at both ends because it&#8217;s on a bend!)<\/p>\n<p>This was the mummies and daddies at drop off time, early in the morning.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3188\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3188\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3188 lazyload\" title=\"School Parking\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/school_parking_1.jpg\" alt=\"School Parking\" width=\"480\" height=\"246\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 480px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 480\/246;\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3188\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mummies And Daddies At Play<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On the left side, just on the bend and on yellow lines, mummy no.1 (reg. no. <strong> FD09 DYO <\/strong>)\u00a0was dropping off no.1 daughter without a care for anyone else trying to get through. In front of her, an Audi 4&#215;4 (reg. no. <strong> DN59 YDG <\/strong>) was doing similar. You&#8217;ll note how the Audi is effectively blocking the road completely on the left side.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3193 lazyload\" title=\"Miscreants\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/school_parking_1e.jpg\" alt=\"Miscreants\" width=\"129\" height=\"234\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 129px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 129\/234;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now look at mummy no.3 (reg. no.  <strong>FD04 ZHA<\/strong> ) dropping off her little darling on the right hand side. She&#8217;s parked almost entirely on the pavement &#8211; causing a severe hazard to pedestrians (i.e. other peoples little darlings) &#8211; but sufficiently on the road, opposite the Audi, to cause a further narrowing.<\/p>\n<p>This is outside a school, remember. Any normal person parking like that would have the book thrown at them if a mummy or daddy complained.<\/p>\n<p>But the best part is the car behind mummy no.3.\u00a0Mummy no.4&#8217;s Toyota &#8216;look-at-how-much-we-earn&#8217; mobile\u00a0(reg. no. <strong> L3 UOS <\/strong>) is\u00a0virtually parked <em>inside<\/em> the chicane area. I should also point out that the situation gets worse as more mummies and daddies turn up and find nowhere else illegal to park, so tail back further into the chicane.<\/p>\n<p>During the day, the place is crawling with traffic wardens and police (there may be a private school nearby, but the surrounding area is pretty rough), and yet there&#8217;s not one to be seen when this happens each morning.
