{"id":5174,"date":"2011-02-28T11:07:47","date_gmt":"2011-02-28T11:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?p=5174"},"modified":"2011-02-28T11:07:47","modified_gmt":"2011-02-28T11:07:47","slug":"speed-cameras-help-reduce-road-accidents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?p=5174","title":{"rendered":"Speed Cameras Help Reduce Road Accidents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <span style=\"color: #800000\">report in This Is Grimsby says that 2,000 speeding motorists were caught in 2009\/10 by North East Lincolnshire&#8217;s 13 speed cameras.<\/p>\n<p>My view on speed cameras has always been:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>speeding is illegal<\/li>\n<li>if you don&#8217;t speed you don&#8217;t get in trouble<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is irrespective of any separate opinions I might periodically hold about where they are situated or what their true purpose is based on various stories that crop up.<\/p>\n<p>The point here is that the number of road deaths has decreased significantly.<\/p>\n<p>No one is saying the cameras are the <em>only <\/em>contributor to reduced deaths.
