I&#8217;ve mentioned the ridiculous situation regarding the <a title=\"Posts Involving the Workington Theory Test Centre\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?s=workington\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000\">Workington Theory Test Centre<\/a> in a number of posts. Most recently, the most incomprehensible logic had been used to decide to <a title=\"Workington Theory Test Centre to Stay Open\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/?p=6364\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000\">keep it open<\/a>&#160;(it runs at a loss, remember, and only does about 3,000 out of a capacity 15,000 tests each year).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6149 lazyload\" title=\"Shaun the Sheep\" alt=\"Shaun the Sheep\" width=\"180\" height=\"104\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.diaryofanadi.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/shaun_sheep.jpg\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 180px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 180\/104;\" \/>The Times &amp; Star can&#8217;t resist another dig &#8211; more of a case of another spadeful out of the hole it keeps digging for itself &#8211; by calling it a &#8220;common sense&#8221; decision. They wouldn&#8217;t know common sense if it cocked its leg against them.<\/p>\n<p>I say again: Workington Theory Test Centre runs at a financial loss. It is only operating at 20% capacity and employs three full time staff (if I remember correctly).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also hard to see why the proposed closure should become such a <em>cause c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <\/em>amongst driving instructors&#8230; until you see that the petition was organised by the West Cumbria <em>Driving Instructors Association<\/em>.
