The entire situation is down to a bunch of arseholes and a union. So just a <strong>big<\/strong> bunch of arseholes really. This simple fact doesn\u2019t stop the lower primates trying to blame the DSA somehow.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t really think of any publication out there (other than the Arseholes\u2019 Union Newsletter) which would advise the public to go out and panic buy, break speed limits, queue at forecourts on purpose to cause disruption, and so on. So the DSA\u2019s advice is:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#000080\">Motorists can also help by following the following sensible advice:<\/font><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><font color=\"#000080\">don\u2019t change your purchasing behaviour, refuel as you normally would, planning ahead if you have a long journey to go on<\/font> <\/li>\n<li><font color=\"#000080\">stick to speed limits as this helps conserve fuel<\/font> <\/li>\n<li><font color=\"#000080\">don\u2019t queue at petrol forecourts, this causes congestion and increases disruption<\/font> <\/li>\n<li><font color=\"#000080\">check travel sites and latest news before travelling<\/font> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\">In actual fact, this is what all the newspapers are saying, and the AA, and other motoring groups. It is the standard advice at times like these.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\">The only problem is that people who aren\u2019t tanker drivers and who aren\u2019t fully paid up members of the Arseholes\u2019 Union are not automatically any further up the evolutionary ladder. And they WILL go out and panic buy.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\">My opinion is that the media should simply not publicise the Arseholes\u2019 Union\u2019s intentions. But since that is never going to happen, sensible advice has to be given \u2013 even if people aren\u2019t going to follow it.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\"><strong>Addendum:<\/strong> And it transpires that the Mickey Mouse coalition \u2013 much beloved by many of the lower primates out there \u2013 actually HAS <a title=\"Government advises people to panic-buy fuel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/politics\/fuel-strike-david-cameron-tells-drivers-not-to-panic-but--they-are-advised-to-top-up-cars-and-petrol-cans-7594092.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><font color=\"#800000\">advised people<\/font><\/a> to panic buy.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\">The Fire Service is furious, because apart from the danger to the pond life which will be storing it in plastic buckets in its kitchens and bedrooms, there is also the danger to firemen who enter burning buildings not expecting to find gallons of fuel sitting around.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#2a2e29\">There was a queue outside Morrisons in Netherfield this afternoon. All the mummies in their 4x4s taking \u201csensible precautions\u201d as advised by Cameron and his gang.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This email alert came in via the DSA.
