It\u2019s essential reading for everyone. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">It is important that all road users are aware of the code and are considerate towards each other. This applies to pedestrians as much as to drivers and riders. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Many of the rules in the code are legal requirements, and if you disobey these rules you are committing a criminal offence. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.direct.gov.uk\/en\/TravelAndTransport\/Highwaycode\/DG_070236\"> Read more about the Highway Code<\/a> . <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>They make a good case.
