Part III"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two stories in the newsfeeds worthy of comment.<\/p>\n<p>This  one tells of an 18-year old, Jack McKenzie, who couldn\u2019t drive and had bad eyesight. He took the family car after having smoked cannabis and drove without his glasses. He was involved in a collision whilst overtaking at 60mph and died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The story gets close to &#8211; but never quite comes out with &#8211; \u201che was a nice boy\u201d, as most of them usually do. That\u2019s probably because everyone can see what he was.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sorry, but I have little sympathy in these cases. Fortunately, <strong>he<\/strong> was the one who died and not some innocent third-party.<\/p>\n<p>And then there is <a title=\"Christopher Jones drives 14 miles the wrong way on M25\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/news\/north-wales-news\/2012\/07\/05\/rhyl-man-jailed-for-driving-14-miles-round-wrong-way-of-m25-55578-31331351\/\"> this one, about 26-year old Christopher Jones<\/a>, who drove for 14 miles the wrong way on the M25 whilst trying to escape from police. He even tried to run down a police officer. And he was living in the south having done a runner from his native North Wales, having failed to turn up to his trial for another dangerous driving charge involving a police chase!<\/p>\n<p>Jones was jailed for 25 months (so he\u2019ll probably be out next year), banned for 2 years, and ordered to take an extended re-test. He should have been put away for life so that <strong>he<\/strong> was off the roads permanently, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two stories in the newsfeeds worthy of comment.
