Test Pass: 2/12/2015

TickWell done Carol, who passed yesterday with 8 driver faults. This was very timely, as she is emigrating next week and desperately needed a UK driving licence so she could work out there. Talk about cutting it fine.

I got a text from her about 20 minutes after I dropped her off asking if I’d seen her Provisional as she couldn’t find it. I pointed out that the examiner took it! And it was a great result to round off the year.

Test Pass: 18/12/2015

TickWell done Sarah, who passed first time last week with 7 driver faults. She is taking delivery of her new car this week, and I know she’s desperate to get hold of it.

She was a referral from an old pupil, and I am also teaching her partner at the moment.

Test Pass: 27/11/2015

TickWell done Helen, who passed with just 6 driver faults back in November. She could already drive an automatic (but didn’t have a licence) though she was unfamiliar with UK roads. That was the biggest challenge.

I know this was important for her job – that is true for many pupils these days.

Test Pass: 28/10/2015

TickWell done Aman, who passed first time in October with 11 driver faults. Like her sister-in-law Sandeep, she needed this for her new job.

They were both a pleasure to teach (in spite of the bad habits they kept picking up from their father and /or husband). And it was strange how I thought they were actual sisters for so long, even though they look nothing like each other.

Test Pass: 14/10/2015

TickWell done Matt, who passed with 14 driver faults back in October. Another high score, but given what Matt is like this was an excellent result for him.

He’s already done Pass Plus with me, and is planning to get a car very soon so he can take his partner’s daughter to school.

Test Pass: 14/10/2015

TickWell done Sandeep, who passed in October with just 6 driver faults. This was a massive weight off her mind, as she can now concentrate on her studies for important exams for her career.

She was unlucky the first time, as she changed lanes on a roundabout after checking her nearside mirror – except that she didn’t check it early enough. Lesson learnt, though.

Test Pass: 1/10/2015

TickWell done Farina, who passed first time with 13 driver faults in October. A bit of a high score, but it was still a pass – and I taught her from scratch (if you don’t count the fact she’d apparently driven a few times when she was 10 back in Pakistan), so I was well aware of how well she could drive – and how nervous she was.

She’ll now be able to take her daughter out, and get to her English lessons more easily.

The only drawback is that I miss the food she used to bring me after I told her of my love for Indian and Pakistani food. Got a couple of good recipes off her, though.

Test Pass: 19/8/2015

TickWell done to Catherine, who passed with just 4 driver faults back in August. She was off to university in London at the end of September, so this was important to her.

Another one who has already done Pass Plus with me, and a great little driver.

Test Pass: 14/7/2015

TickWell done to Danielle who passed with just 3 driver faults back in July. She’d just bought a small car and I saw her out in it with her mum about an hour after I’d dropped her off – that always gives me a good feeling.

I know this pass was important to her for personal reasons.

Test Pass: 7/7/2015

TickWell done to Darren, who passed first time in July with 7 driver faults. Another older driver who has shown that age doesn’t have to be a barrier to learning to drive.

He’s already completed Pass Plus and he’ll now be able to drive his grand kids around.
